Mia is one of the first members at Mettle Fitness. Being new to CrossFit she has made remarkable strides in both fitness and body composition.
Everyone, please meet Mia Capers!!
When did you start?
I started April 2013 right after returning from vacation.
I was doing a good amount of cardio fitness classes and I decided it was time to take my fitness to another level.
What do you like about Crossfit @ Mettle Fitness?
I like that each day is different; different workout and a different challenge. I came across a quote that said, “If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you.” That is very true for Crossfit at Mettle Fitness.
What changes have you observed?
There are so many things. I’m so much better at everything compared to the first day I started. My overall fitness level has improved. I got on the treadmill the other day and realized my running had improved (and I am not a runner). I think the biggest change is just knowing that there is no limit to what I can accomplish. Of course, I have noticed changes were it matters most. I have gone down a size and have lost almost 20 pounds.
What are your next goals?
I really want to be able to do a pull-up without any bands!
